Just days after former White House chief advisor met with key Freedom Caucus members, they are now unleashing a fury of anger and criticism at House Speaker Paul Ryan for his failure and advancing the Republican legislative agenda.
Steve Bannon reportedly met with House Freedom Caucus member Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C. on Sunday where they discussed their fall agenda and battle strategy. Their main goal is SHUTTING DOWN the RINOs in Congress who refuse to support Trump’s conservative agenda, including Paul Ryan.
The three caucus members who met with Ryan, Reps. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.), Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), and Scott Perry (R-Pa.) are reportedly friends with the House Speaker but are tired of the lack of movement on the agenda that is important to President Trump.
A source is even alleging that Bannon and the key Freedom Caucus members might even already be discussing how to remove and replace Ryan as Speaker of the House.
Ashlee Strong, Ryan’s spokeswoman, tried to brush off the encounter saying “every single day the speaker talks to members about their concerns, ideas, and anything else they’d like to discuss. Being accessible to members is part of the job and one he makes a priority.” However, this is just another example of agitation within the Republican ranks and Steve Bannon is a force to be reckoned with.
A source who chose to remain anonymous, released a very telling statement to the Washington Post on Wednesday: “I’ve talked to countless Americans who are fed up with Congress’s inability to get anything done. They see Mitch McConnell and Speaker Ryan as the biggest impediments to enacting President Trump’s agenda. If things don’t change — and fast — the American people will demand new leadership in Congress.”
